The Pegasus

Created by Poseidon from the blood of Medusa, Pegasus could create springs of water where he stomped the earth.

After reaching Mount Olympus he served Zeus by carrying his thunderbolts.

As a reward, Zeus transformed Pegasus into a constellation thus immortalizing him amongst the stars.

The Portal

In many cultures, hores represent the ability to move between life and death, earth and sky, or consciousness and dream.

In some cases the horse itself is a literal bridge between worlds, while in others it acts as a guide for a shaman to navigate another realm.

To ride a mythical horse can symbolize a journey of personal growth, enlightenment, or heroic evolution.

In other legends, the horse acts as a guardian of the threshold to the afterlife - be sure you are judged worthy!

The Underworld

In Norse mythology, Sleipnir, Odin’s trusted steed exists across and between the boundaries of life and death, of mortal and immortal.

He is described as a grey horse posessing magical knowledge.

He carried Odin across the Nine Worlds, including journeys to Hel, the realm of the dead.

Bucephalus

Celebrating the horse-human bond, Alexander the Great’s famous horse was said to be untamable until Alexander turned him toward the sun to avoid his shadow.

Their story celebrates trust, respect, and friendship.
